Belal Al Barghouth
Writer, blogger, and Syrian poet. Born in Duma, a city in the Countryside of Damascus, in June 1992. He completed his secondary education at Al-Saadah High School then joined the college of dentistry at the University of Damascus in 2011. He was known for activism during the Syrian Revolution before moving to Germany at the end of 2015, where he now studies law at the University of Bonn. He currently works in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in Europe.
We still the victims of our Homeland´s dream, The Homeland, that exists in our platonic imagination, where you can see it in the way you love it, from outside your cell, and far from the exile.
